Lisa Hofmann [she/her]. Multidisciplinary performer, maker & (re)searcher with a visual mind, guided by an attentive and empathetic listening, practicing trust to embrace uncertainty and change in a journey of unfolding potential solutions within the creative process.

Recently graduated with a specialisation in Choreography from the Master Performance Practices at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem (NL). Before: full time contemporary dance (w/ pedagogy) & choreography in Leipzig (DE). Former BA studies in Sociology and Media Science at University of Tübingen (DE) including exchange studies in Contemporary Dance as well as Society & Media at Stony Brook University, New York (USA). Expanding my artistic and performative knowledge and exploring the beauty of combining different artistic languages, at Anfibia (Leggere Strutture), an immersive and multidisciplinary training project for performers and contemporary creators in Bologna (IT). Co-founding the project-based physical theatre duo twoBetween, together with Luzi Madrid Villanueva, in 2020. Since then, moving for my own creations as well as with and for other contemporary dance and theatre practitioners, as well as encountering multidisciplinary, visual, and digital artistic projects (i.a., C&C Company, Julia Kiryanova, Anagoor, Theater Exil).

Drawing from my multidisciplinary background and embodied knowledge, my artistic practice finds its current form in physical performances at the intersection between dance and theatre for stage and screen. Within the making process, I am relying on the holistic body, constantly driven by a strong focus on the visual composition of the (human) body(s) in space, mirroring human behaviour and arise questions, thoughts, and emotions.

Within my studio & work practice, I aim to create caring spaces that allow a process of thinking in doing, where each moment becomes an opportunity for new discovery. Believing in the power of authentic resonance, I am constantly practicing deep connection and responsiveness between all entities involved in the process, aiming to discover meaningful interactions.
